5 Ways to Personalize Your Discord Account

The most widely used chatroom service for online gaming is called Discord. The following are some of the ways in which you can customize your account in order to make your experience more enjoyable:

General Notification Configurations

While you are using mobile, you will, by default, continue to receive notifications from any and all servers to which you belong. On the other hand, notifications on the desktop have been turned off.

When you are using your computer, you can go to the App Settings menu and select the Notifications option to enable Desktop Notifications or disable mobile notifications. You have the ability to disable any of Discord's sound effects, such as the ones that play when new messages are received or when new users join a voice chat.

Username and Server Nickname

It is necessary for you to come up with a user name before you can complete your initial registration on Discord. You will always have the ability to change your username, even after you have registered.

To change your username and gain access to the Settings menu, click the gear icon that is located to the right of your name and profile picture.

After selecting "Edit" from the drop-down menu found in the User Settings section of "My Account," you will be prompted to enter your new username.

In addition, you have the ability to change your nickname on every server that you are a member of. You should navigate to one of the servers that you are a member of and then click the arrow that is located to the left of the server's name. To set your own alias, select the "Change Nickname" option.

The other users on the server will refer to you by this nickname when they talk to you.

Discord Integrations

Your Discord account gives you the ability to connect multiple accounts from different websites and services. Each app will give you unique integrations on your account. If you link your account on Steam, Xbox, or Battle.net, for example, you'll be able to display the game that you are currently playing on your profile card on those platforms.

You can also link your accounts on different streaming services, such as Twitch and YouTube, so that other users can see what you are playing on Spotify or when you are live-streaming on Twitch.

To configure integrations, go to User Settings > Connections, then click the app's icon after you've arrived there. After that, you'll have the ability to customize each integration independently.

Discord Avatars

Simply navigate back to "My Account" and click the circle that is currently containing your profile picture in order to set your Discord avatar.

After that, you will be prompted to select a file from your device. After that, you will crop the image using a preview to determine how it will look within the circle. Instead of static images, subscribers to Discord Nitro have the option of using animated GIFs as their avatars.

Custom Number Tag

It is possible for multiple users to share the same identifier on Discord due to the fact that each username ends with a four-digit number. You won't have access to the customization options for this if you have a free account.

If you are utilizing Discord Nitro, go to the section labeled "My Account," and then click the "Edit" button. In this section, if the custom number tag you want to use has not already been claimed, you will be able to set it.
