Firefox 59 Review 2018

Firefox 59 was released by Mozilla on March 13, 2018. Changes in this browser update include some performance improvements, fixes to security vulnerabilities, enhanced WebExtensions API, new privacy settings, improved Real-Time Communications (RTC) capabilities. In terms of privacy enhancements, in Firefox 59, users will find more control over Push Notifications permission under Option and Privacy & Security. Users can manage individual websites as well as use the Block checkbox to block new requests asking to allow notifications. In private browsing mode there is an enhancement, to prevent cross-site tracking. Essentially, the path information from referrers, will be removed, to prevent cross-site tracking. There have been some enhancement to the Firefox Home Page as well. You can rearrange Top Sites, by dragging & dropping them. You will also find other customization options to personalize the Home Page. Firefox Screenshots has also received a new annotation tool with which you can draw and highlight on saved screenshots. This is a useful tool because you can now save annotated screenshots and then share them with others. There were performance enhancements as well which are aimed at faster load times for content on the Firefox Home page. As well as faster page load times by loading either from the networked cache or the cache on the user’s hard drive. These were some of the notable changes in Firefox 59.
