Facebook Ads: Why and How to Use Existing Post Across All Your Ads

If you need help with a specific issue and want me to personally take a look at your setup, I can help! Check out the 'My Services' section of my blog: https://ift.tt/2IRGS2P Why should you use existing post in your ads?: 0:09 How to find the post ID: 1:05 Where to input the post ID: 1:58 Hey all! In this short video, I explain to you the benefits of using 'existing post' in your ads and how to set them up. So you may have seen posts in your Facebook news feed that had thousands upon thousands of likes, comments, and shares. Chances are, those people are using 'existing post' in their ads. Meaning instead of creating a new ad copy/post for every ad, they keep the exact same ad and show that ad across different audiences. So if they have 100 total ads split testing against each other in terms of demographics, location, interests, etc... they don't use 100 different ad posts - they use only 1 that is circulated differently across all those different dimensions. This creates for a very strong ad copy, since you get all the comments, likes, and shares added in and people want to jump in and see what's going on. Social proof can really go a long way! In order to do this, you simply need to go to Ads Manager/Power Editor, and open any one of your ads in 'show on Facebook post with comments'. In the URL box, you should copy the last sub-ID consisting of a string of letters, and then paste that number across all of your ads in the 'use existing ad' slot when it asks for post ID. That should do it! If you do that, all of your ads should show the exact same point and pile up the social proof you need! That's it!
