It’s essential for you to know how to add Skills to your Amazon Echo because you’ll be adding skills to Amazon Echo every time you want to extend it functionalities like using it to control your Harmony Hub or looking for your Phone. We have a guide that explains how to do that.

But in case you installed a Skill that you don’t like or not fond of, here’s how you can uninstall it from your Amazon Echo.

Of course, there’s nothing in having tons of Alexa Skills installed, since it doesn’t take up any storage. However it’s a good idea to uninstall any Skills that you don’t use at all in order to simply tidy things up in the Alexa app, and to prevent yourself from mistakenly initiating an unwanted Skill on your Echo device.

To do this, open up the Alexa app on your smartphone (Android/iOS).

Then tap on the menu button at the top-left corner of the screen.

Then tap on select “Skills” from the list.

Then tap on “Your Skills” at the top-right corner of the screen.

From there, you’ll be able to see the list of Alexa Skills that you have installed on your Amazon Echo.

So just tap on the Skill that you want to uninstall.

Now tap on “Disable Skill” to uninstall it.

Then a confirmation pop-up dialog will appear prompting you to confirm what you want to do. So tap on “Disable Skill” to confirm the uninstallation process.

That’s all! You can tap on the back arrow icon at the top-left corner of the screen in order to go back to the list of installed Skills. Then you can select any other Skills you would like uninstall.
