Here’s how to find Lost AirPods with iPhone and iPad

Note: Make sure to use the iPhone or iPad which has been paired with the AirPod.

Download and Install the Finder for AirPods from App Store on your iOS device.

Then open the app on your iOS device.

You’ll be given the option to select which AirPod you want to find. So select the AirPod you wish to find and tap on Next. In case you want to locate both AirPods, then tap on Next and then close the lid of the charging case.

Now you need to put the left AirPod in the charging case and close the lid back. Then, tap on Get It, Start Finding on the app.

Then you have to move towards the area you believe you’ve misplaced the AirPods.

If you are getting closer to the lost AirPod, the meter on the app will let you know that “You are getting closer…” If you are very close to the lost earphone, the app will tell you “It’s around here.”

Immediately after finding the AirPod, tap on I Found It.

That’s it, extremely easy. This app very handy and smart as it makes locating the lost AirPod a lot easier. From now on, you don’t have to worry about losing your AirPods. 

Update: Finder for AirPods has been removed from the App Store by Apple. According to the creator of the app, Apple reportedly did not like the idea of people locating their AirPods and thus the app was deemed "not appropriate for the App Store."

Apple has not confirmed the reason why the app was removed from the store, and the app's developer recommends people ask for refunds via iTunes.

However, you can still get the app from AppShopper.
