Do you know that you can now make Skype calls on your Linux easily?  Skype users using Linux like Ubuntu may feel left out because Linux is lacking some nice features available on Mac and Windows. Windows and Mac users usually find it easier to make Skype calls, but this particular feature is not available on Linux.

However with a new Alpha launch for Linux that’s about to make voice calls on Skype possible and easier. Alpha Launch is a WebRTC version that avoids the needs for plugins, and also includes file-sharing and a whole bunch of emoticons. You can download the latest version of Linux Alpha here.

So here’s how to make Skype calls on Linux

So the first thing to do is to download and install the Alpha Launch from here

Then go over to web.skype.com

Then Log in to your Skype Account.

Then select the contact you would like to call

Then click on the phone icon to make a call.

By doing that, your call will begin. That’s all. You can also make Skype calls on Chromebook if you don’t know how to, you can checkout this guide on how to do so.
