By default, Windows 10 hides some crucial system files and folders in order to prevent you from accidentally tampering or modifying them. Still, there are numerous reasons why you might want to view these directories.

For example, the hidden AppData/Roaming folder contains tons of app-settings files you might want to edit. But if you’re tech guru or geek, and you need to modify files for apps, modify some settings, and there are times when you’ll need access to certain items that are hidden.

How Show Hidden Files with the Files and Folder Control Panel 

Go to your search box and search for "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and then click on it.

So click on View tab, then inside the "Advanced settings box, click on “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” and click on "OK"

How to Show Hidden Files using File Explorer

Open File Explorer, and then click on View tab.

Then click on "Hidden items" checkbox.
