If your iPhone is nowhere to be found or maybe you forgot where you dropped or misplaced it around your house or work place.

You can use the Apple Watch's built-in "Find My iPhone" button feature to search for it in a blink of an eye.

If your iPhone usually goes into the couch cushions or under-bed lairs of your home, you don't have to start looking for it by checking your house, work place or by using iCloud.com. 

Alternatively, you can use your Apple Watch to search for it. Apple Watch's search feature won't trigger it's different from iCloud emails that says your device has been sent a noise. Apple Watch search feature is a much simpler and less complicated Find function.

This article is just a simple guide on how to find your iPhone using Apple Watch. 

Follow the below steps:

Note: Your iPhone must be turned on. Your iPhone Bluetooth must be enabled also for this to work. And this will only ping the iPhone your Apple Watch is paired to. Any other iPhone device won't be able connect to your Apple Watch. Make sure your Apple Watch is paired to your iPhone. You can read this article on How to pair your Apple Watch to Your iPhone.


1. Tap on the Digital Crown button to return to the watch face.

2. Swipe up from the bottom of the watch face.

3. Swipe from right to the left.

Then it should show your iPhone at the top as "Connected" in green text.

4. Press the Find iPhone button.

Then your Apple watch will display "Pinging iPhone"

Your iPhone should ring out with a small submarine-style ping within a few seconds. You can continue to tap this button until you are able to find your iPhone.
