Customizing your computer to your own complete experience is one of the things a user would love to do.
We have been posting some tutorials on how to use and customize your newly upgraded Windows version i.e. Windows 10. The first sound that is normally heard from your computer is the boring Windows 10 default logon sound.
Changing the Logon sound will also make your computer become lively because whenever you off or on your computer, you can always listen to your own desired sound for inspiration. This is a short article on how to change the logon and logoff sound on windows 10.

Logon Method

1. Firstly, choose or pick your desired logon and logoff sound to be used. Make sure the sound file that small in size and short in length. The particular file format does not matter, but .wmv (Windows Media File) typically works best and smooth.

2. Press the Windows key + R, type regedit and then press enter

3. Then navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/AppEvents/EventLabels/WindowsLogon

4. Double-click on "ExcludeFromCPL" and set the Value to 0.

5. Now double click on desktop, select Personalize > Themes > Advanced Sound Settings.

6. Now scroll down and you will see the Windows Logon option.

7. Click on the option and select Browse to replace the default Windows sound with the sound your desired sound.

8. After doing that, then click on Apply and OK to change the sound.

Logoff Method

The above methods also applies to the Logoff sound customization method.

1. Firstly, choose or pick your desired logon and logoff sound to be used. Make sure the sound file that small in size and short in length. The particular file format does not matter, but .wmv (Windows Media File) typically works best and smooth.

2. Press theWindows key + R, type regedit and then press enter

3. Then navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/AppEvents/EventLabels/WindowsLogoff

4. Double-click on "ExcludeFromCPL" and set the Value to 0.

5. Now double click on desktop, select Personalize > Themes > Advanced Sound Settings.

6. Now scroll down and you will see the Windows Logonoff option.

7. Click on the option and select Browse to replace the default Windows sound with the sound your desired sound.

8. After doing that, then click on Apply and OK to change the sound.

By default, the windows logon and logoff sound options does not show up in the sound options. They hid it for some reason known to them. But with the above explained steps we unhide it using the REGEDIT entry.
