What is Supported Header Field in SIP?

The Supported header field is used to list and record one or more options integrated by a UA or server.

1. It is typically integrated in responses to OPTIONS requests.

2. If no options are integrated, the header field is not added.

3. If a UAC lists and record an option in a Supported header field, proxies or UASs may use the option for the duration of the call.

4. If the option must be used or confirmed, the Require header field is used as a substitute.
