Stop-Loss Order works like a limit order, but in an opposite fashion: it specifies the maximum loss that a trader is willing to accept on a given position. It can be used to lower your exposure to losses if the market moves against you. Setting a stop-loss order for 10% below the price at which you bought the stock will limit your loss to 10%
