Modulator is any electronic device that performs signal conversion. It is also an electronic device whose input is a baseband signal which is used to modulate a radio frequency source. Signal conversion is an electronic process in which a continuously variable (analog) signal is changed, without altering its essential content, into a multi-level (digital) signal.
