Analytical, Historical and Ethical Jurisprudence are three different parts of the Jurisprudence, according to Salmond.
Jurisprudence is the study, knowledge, skill and theory of law.
Analytical Jurisprudence: This is the use of a neutral point of view and descriptive language when referring to the aspects of legal systems.
Historical Jurisprudence: It deals with the history and general principles governing the origin and development of law and also the development, evolution of the legal conceptions and principles found in the philosophy of law.
Ethical Jurisprudence: This is a branch of legal philosophy which approaches the law from the viewpoint of its ethical significance and adequacy.
