How to Find your Lost Phone with Amazon Echo

Have you recently misplaced your smartphone? Do you know that you can find your lost phone with Amazon Echo? With Amazon Echo, you can easily find your misplaced phone.

Amazon Echo is one of the best smarthome devices that makes your life better in many ways. With the third party integrations, Amazon is now a lot because it functionalities is increasing every day and the functions list continues to grow. The latest feature added to the function list is the ability of Amazon Echo to find your lost phone using the app TrackR with voice command.

TrackR is actually known as a little you can attach to your keys or wallet or anything else that can lost. However, when using Amazon Echo to find your phone with TrackR, all you just have to do is to download TrackR free app, link it to Alexa, and then you’re ready.

Here’s how to find your phone with Amaxon Echo

Head over to you platform app store and download it. The TrackR app is available for only iOS and Android users. Head over to Google Play Store to download it on Android and App Store on iOS. 

Once you’ve downloaded the app, install and open the app. 

After opening it, tap on “Add a New Device” and tap on “Alexa Integration”. 

Then you will be prompted to enable the Find My Phone skill.

Now there are three ways you can use to enable a skill on the Amazon Echo. One of the easiest ways is to use a voice command.  All you just have say is “Alexa, enable the Find My Phone skill.” 

You can also enable it in the Amazon mobile app. Just go to the Skills option in the menu and search for TrackR and tap the Enable Skill button.

You can also enable it in the web browser. Head over to Amazon echo site. Then go to the Skills option located in the menu. Then search for TrackR and tap on “Enable Skill” button.

All you need to do now is to ask Alexa for your PIN using the voice command in order to complete the connection between the TrackR app on your phone and your Amazon Echo. Just say “Alexa, ask TrackR for my pin.”

So once you have everything is set up, TrackR will prompt you to create an account, although you don’t actually need to register for an account at all in order to use this service. 

Once everything is set up, you should check it to make sure it is working fine especially when you actually need it to. Just use the voice command, “Alexa, ask TrackR to find my phone.”

So your phone will start ringing immediately and you can stop the ringing by opening the TrackR app. TrackR doesn’t bring up any notification on the phone.
