How to Convert Microsoft Word Docs to Google Docs

Do you know that you can convert your Microsoft Word documents to Google Docs? 

One of the most handy features of Google Docs is its compatibility with most word apps especially Microsoft Word. You can easily create a new Google Doc by uploading a Word file.

There are many reasons you may want to convert word docs to Google docs. Perhaps you want to share the documents between your coworkers online. The best way to do that is to use Google Docs. Since you are true with document on Word, you can just convert it to Google Docs. Or maybe you don’t want to use Microsoft Word anymore, and want to have a library of your old .doc or .docx files.

Open your web browser, the head to Google Drive.

Then click on New.


Then click on File upload.


Then select the Word document you want to convert and click Open. Then wait for the file to upload.

Now double-click on the uploaded Word Documents.

Then click on Open with and select Google Docs.


From there, your Word Document has been converted to a Google Doc. You can now share it with your coworkers or teammates.
