The method of force quitting apps in watchOS 3 on Apple Watch has been changed a bit with the arrival of watchOS 3.
watchOS 3 is one the best Watch OS for Apple Watch. The apps runs smoothly on the Watch with seven times faster than the old Watch OS.

Even though the watchOS 3 is faster than the watchOS, there’s always a time it will run into a bump. So in case any app gets stuck or didn’t respond at all. You can quickly and easily fix it by force quitting the app. The process of force quitting an app on Apple Watch has been slightly improved.

So here is how you can force quit an unresponsive app quickly.
Before whenever you want to force quit an app on Apple Watch, you had to just double-click the side button to force quit the app. Presently, the Digital Crown has come into motion.

Just open the app you want to force quit. You can start with the second step if the app is already open on your Apple Watch and didn’t respond.

So press and hold down the Dock button until the shutdown screen comes up.

Then press the Digital Crown and the app will force quit.

That’s all!

So open the app in question. It should be back to normal and start to respond as usual.

In case the app is still stuck, then you’ll need to reboot your Watch. Just hold down the side button until the shutdown option appears on the screen. Then tap on Power Off to reboot your Watch.

On occasion even after restarting your Apple Watch, the app might not respond correctly. So you will have to delete the app and then reinstall it via the iPhone Watch app in such cases.
