How to Fix Windows Store App Problems With a Quick Reset

Oyetoke Tobi - Monday, July 18, 2016

Windows Store is an app store for Windows Operating System and it is only available on Windows 8 and later. Have you ever tried to download an app from the Windows store, only to find out that it’s having some issues or you can't download?

All you need to do is to reset it in case you don't know the exact cause of the problem you are facing with the Windows Store.

Note: In order to do this, you'll have to be on Insider Preview or you can just wait till july to get the update in the Anniversary Update. You can check out this guide on how to be an Insider Preview on Windows 10

So here's how to do just that

The first thing to do is to open Settings by pressing Windows + I keyboard shortcut.

Then click on System.

Then select Apps & features.
So click on Advanced options.

Then click on Reset in the Advanced options page.

Then warning box will pop up confirming what you are about to do. So just click on Reset button

So once you've click on the Reset button, then you’ll see a checkmark icon beside the Reset button that indicates that you've successfully reset your Windows Store. Doing this will delete all local data on the app, make sure you have that in your mind.

So you can open the Windows Store app to confirm this. The Windows store app will start afresh again.
