How to Add Image Editing Extensions to Apple Photos on Mac

Oyetoke Tobi - Monday, July 11, 2016

Apple Photos provides some special image editing tools such as the Enhance and red-eye removal, but you can also take the app's editor to a next level with extensions from third parties.

For example, you can get extensions from apps downloaded in the Mac App Store like the Pixelmator (which offers distort and retouch features), Noiseless (helps to removes digital noise which results from photos taken in low lighting conditions), Intensify (helps images pop) and so many more.

So here's how to enable and add extensions.

So click on the Apple logo at the top right corner.

Then click on System Preferences.

Then select Extensions.

Now click on Photos

Then click on the checkbox to check the extensions you would like to add.

So the added extensions will be available whenever you click on the Extensions in Edit mode.
