What is WWW – Authenticate Header Field?

WWW-Authenticate header field is usually used in a 401 Unauthorized authentication challenge by a UA or registrar server to a UAC.

It has the nature of the challenge so that the UAC may create credentials in a Proxy-Authorization header field in a subsequent request.

WWW is simply Computer network consisting of a collection of internet sites that offer text and graphics and sound and animation resources through the hypertext transfer protocol.
