What is Relational Algebra in DBMS?

Relational algebra is a routine query language, which takes cases of relations as input and yields cases of relations as output.

1. It uses operators to execute queries.

2. An operator can be either unary or binary.

3. They accept relations as their input and yield relations as their output.

3. Relational algebra is executed recursively on a relation and intermediate results are also considered relations.
