What is Proxy-Authorization Header Field in SIP?

The Proxy-Authorization header field is usually used to transfer the credentials of a UA in a request to a server.

1. It can be forwarded in reply to a 407 Proxy Authentication Required response carrying challenge information.

2. A proxy receiving a request having a Proxy-Authorization header field looks for its own monarchy, and if found it processes the entry.

3. If the credentials are correct, any residual entries are kept in the request when it is sent to the next proxy.
