The 3-Tier Database Architecture

Leke Oyetoke - Saturday, March 19, 2016

Database (Data) Tier: In this tier, the database dwells along with its query processing languages.

Application (Middle) Tier: In this tier, the application exists in the application server and the programs that access the database. Middle Tier presents an inattentive view of the database for the end users.

User (Presentation) Tier: This tier is being operated by the end-users and they are unaware about any existence of the database outside this layer.
